Staying in Touch in a Touchless World
Real Estate Marketing Tips - How to stay in touch in a touchless world.
While we need to maintain social distance for a while, that doesn’t mean you can’t do any real estate marketing.
You can still take advantage of various opportunities, keep your brand growing and your face in front of prospects.
Call or text
Check on your past clients and see if they need anything. Start with the most financially and age-appropriate vulnerable. Start with "how are you doing" and that should get a good conversation to commence. Offer to help in any way that you can. This shouldn't be a sales call. If they ask about home value, then is the time to discuss.
Reassure your farm and SOI and allay the fears they may have regarding the housing market. Use stats, data, and visuals to get the greatest impact. Check out Keeping Current Matters Coronavirus content on their KCM Blog. It gives you some great content to help ground your past clients and sellers.
Lean on Social Media
Social media is another way to stay face-to-face without being, well, face-to-face. In tough times, be an uplifting voice. Consider appropriate funny memes, encouraging quotes, and other positive content. After all, no one can get enough of baby Yoda! It can bring a smile, which can be exactly what someone needs. 9 Social Media Posts for Lockdown
Send Hopeful Postcards
Let your community know you are thinking about them and their families. Our COVID-19 inspired postcards are the perfect way to reassure them you are there for them if they need help connecting to any resources.
If you have listings, you'll need to change your marketing approach. In many areas, only essential businesses are allowed to operate which means no more open houses. But you can still change your mindset and adapt to this situation. At a time when having a crowd isn’t a good idea, make your open houses virtual this spring.
You can do a Facebook live at your listing, walk around and showcase the best parts of the home, and answer questions live. Upgrade your virtual tour with a 3D tour by a company like Matterport or Virtuance or use the free Zillow 3D app that lets agents (or sellers) make a 3D tour. Utilize a single property website which not only allows for a lot of pictures, it also offers neighborhood and community information.
You’ll save time, energy, and keep everyone safer!

- What agents can do now: Organize a 90-day business plan, create new seller and buyer guides, work on branding and marketing, create seller nurture plans, and make a new distressed resource list.
- A fun idea. Realtors: Do all the things in your home that you tell sellers to do to prepare their home for sale. Call your past sellers and apologize for all you made them do to prepare their homes for sale!
